Improvements works are to begin on two outfall pipes in Wormit, Fife.
The project is being carried out near adjacent to two properties on Riverside Road. Scottish Water will extend one outfall pipe by six metres to meet the watermark, as well as build a concrete surround. The second existing outfall pipe and manhole cover will then be replaced.
The three-week scheme will get underway on Monday, 15 January.
Scott Fraser, Scottish Water's corporate affairs regional manager, said: "During the work there may be some disruption due to construction noise and machinery accessing the site.
"We will do all we can to keep disruption to a minimum, however, some aspects of this work is tide dependent and could be subject to delays.
"We'd like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and understanding whilst this essential work is carried out."
