Plans have been approved for a new £20 million housing development in Glasgow.

A total of 73 homes are being developed by AS Homes (Scotland) at Boghall Road in Broomhouse.

The first phase, to be known as Calderpark Gardens, will see 55 three and four bedroom detached homes built under the Briar Homes brand, the new private homes arm of AS Homes (Scotland).

Paul Kelly, Managing Director of Briar Homes Ltd said: "To be granted planning permission for our very first Briar Homes development is a very exciting moment for us. We are looking forward to work beginning on site next month and expect there to be a healthy demand for these homes when we launch the first phase early in the new year."
