Recent building inspections have revealed urgent ceiling repairs and further inspection works are required to be carried out to the First Minister's official residence at Charlotte Square.

The historic Georgian building was built in the 1790s and is owned by the National Trust for Scotland.
The repairs, which have been advised by the building's conservators, are being coordinated by Historic Environment Scotland and are expected to be completed over the winter months.
Meetings of the Scottish Cabinet will take place at St Andrew's House for the duration of the works, while temporary alternative arrangements are being put in place for Ms Sturgeon's accommodation and working requirements while she is in Edinburgh.
