Work on a new 'affordable' housing development in Fife is now complete.

A total of 14 properties comprising a mix of cottage flats and houses have been built on North Street in Leven.

The scheme has been carried out as part of the town centre's regeneration programme. Remaining units at the site are expected to be completed around mid-June.

Jacqui Sinclair, Housing Professional for Affordable Housing & Regeneration, said: "The location of this area for social housing is great, being close to amenities and in walking distance of the High Street, bus station, leisure facilities and beach."

Senior Housing Manager, Alan Russell, added: "It's great to see people settling into new, good quality, rented accommodation that fits their needs. Over the last five years Fife Council has invested over £150m in affordable housing across Fife and, despite significant financial challenges, we will continue to invest in more good quality housing to meet local needs."
