The Big Lottery Fund (BLF) has awarded £750,000 to support the development of a community hub in Rutherglen.
Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust is planning to create a new home at Number 18 on Farmeloan Road.
The building, in which Clyde Gateway was a key partner in its purchase and subsequent refurbishment, acts as the main community hub of the trust.
The BLF fund will be used over the next four years to carry out further improvements at the building, which will allow a further increase in the range of services on offer.
Ian Manson, chief executive of Clyde Gateway said: "We have long enjoyed an excellent relationship with Healthy n Happy and delighted to have been able to provide the financial support towards their ambitions of securing a new home at Number 18, a move that has proven to be a success story from the outset."
Brendan Rooney, executive director of Healthy n Happy, said: "We are delighted that the growing community assets funding will allow us to provide a fully inclusive multi-functional community space delivering an increased range of services and opportunities for local people based on community needs and aspirations that improve the quality of life."
