Plans Submitted For £2.6m Greenock Housing Development

River Clyde Homes has submitted plans for a £2.6 million housing development in Greenock.

The company is proposing to build 20 new terraced and semi-detached homes in the Mallard Crescent area.

The homes, which have been designed by Chameleon Homes, will be built on the site of a former block of flats which was demolished in recent years.

Each house will be of red brick construction with cladding and pitched roofs to compliment the surrounding architecture, as well as containing back and front gardens. A new road will also be built to provide access to the development, linking the existing Mallard Crescent road to Merlin Lane.

Albert Henderson, Chair of the River Clyde Homes Board, said: "This is great news for Inverclyde. We have ambitious plans to build hundreds of homes in the coming years.

"I'm pleased that, off the back of the recent announcement for the Slaemuir area of Port Glasgow, we have exciting plans for South West Greenock. These are much needed modern, family homes that I'm sure will be popular with residents."
