Maxi Construction is continuing work on a new £4 million Partnership Centre in Linlithgow.
The project involves refurbishing the town's County Buildings to bring local services under one roof. Completion is scheduled for this spring.
Works so far have included asbestos removal and structural floor strengthening works. Progress is also continuing on window refurbishment and internal works.
Once completed, a number of facilities will be based at the new centre including Linlithgow Library, Customer Information Services, Local History Library, Family History Society, Annet House, and St Michael's Day Centre for the elderly. In addition, accommodation will be provided for Police Scotland who will relocate from the nearby police station.
Councillor Dave King said: "The development of a Partnership Centre in Linlithgow has been a key aim for West Lothian Council for a long time.
"This multi-million pound investment will transform County Buildings and provide local people with first class community facilities in the heart of the town centre. The investment will safeguard the future of this important building for generations to come."
