Plans have been approved to build a new primary school in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire.
The new facility will developed on the site of St. Andrew's Primary School in Duntocher Road and is scheduled to open in Summer 2018.
As the fourth school to be built through the Council's Primary School Improvement Programme, the project will replace St. Andrew's Primary School and St. Joseph's Primary School in Milngavie.
Designed by architects Holmes Miller, new features include 17 classrooms, playground, sports pitch and landscaping.
Cllr Billy Hendry said: "This decision by the Planning Board facilitates the delivery of a state of the art primary school within Bearsden."
Following the approval of planning permission, the final project design will continue to financial close, subject to approval.
