Work to refurbish two DG customer service facilities in Dumfries and Galloway is now complete.
The Kirkcudbright facility in Daar Road and the customer service facility in Eastriggs were reopened earlier this week by the council.
Features of the capital works scheme included increasing the size of libraries, bringing public services under one roof and making the facilities fit for purpose.
Speaking during the opening of the refurbished customer service facility in Eastriggs, Cllr John Martin said: "The work that's been carried out in here has made a real difference. The library has been increased and offers a wide choice of books for people of all ages.
"It was good to see the schoolchildren in the facility and I hope they can make good use of the upgraded library area. I am confident the other services available in the centre will also be of benefit to the residents of Eastriggs and the surrounding area."
