A joint venture (JV) between Morrison Utility Services and AECOM is set to begin the next stage of a £5 million mains upgrade project in Dundee.
Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA) will start work in Byron Street on 28 November.
The works are expected to be completed in six to eight weeks. Road closures and diversions will be in place.
The JV has been working in the Perth Road, Blackness Road and Lochee Road areas over the last six months and have also recently been replacing and refurbishing mains in the Graham Street area.
Ruaridh MacGregor, Scottish Water's Regional Community Manager for Dundee, said: "The £5 million upgrade in Dundee’s water network has now been underway for just over six months and throughout the project we have ensured our customers’ needs are at the forefront of what we do.
"Moving the location for the start of this next stage to ensure the Christmas Tree on Hill Street could be put up without any inconvenience is another example of Scottish Water putting the interests of our customers in the community first.
"The project will also stop on the 23rd December and no work will be carried out during Christmas and New Year, so we can ensure no disruption over the holiday period.."
