Maxi Construction has secured a £2.2 million contract to refurbish a listed building in Edinburgh.
The Livingston-based contractor will redevelop and extend the Grade A-listed Panmure House for Edinburgh Business School.
The building will be refurbished to provide flexible accommodation for lectures, readings, performances and seminars. In addition, an extension will be built to provide an entrance foyer, while internal space will be refurbished and reconfigured to provide a Reading Room, Lecture Room, offices, kitchen and toilet facilities.
A new stone pencheck stair will be installed along with lifts to facilitate access to all levels of the building.
The project team consists of Project Manager Gardiner & Theobald LLP, EK:JN Architects LLP, Principal Designer and Quantity Surveyor Thomson Bethune, Structural Engineer Robertson Eadie and Services Engineer EDP Consulting Engineers.
