BAM Construction has reached a milestone on a £23.8 million leisure centre development in West Dunbartonshire.
Structural work is now complete on the Clydebank Leisure Centre at Queens's Quay and the four-storey building is set to open in early 2017.
Designed by architects Kennedy Fitzgerald, the development is being delivered by hub West Scotland.
Once completed, features of the facility will include a 25-metre swimming pool, teaching pool, leisure pool with waves and flume, changing facilities, a café, multi-purpose sports hall with badminton, netball, basketball, hockey and five-a-side football courts and retractable seating, fitness suite, and dance studio.
Councillor David McBride said: "Work is now well under way on delivering the best leisure services for our residents.
"This new centre is an important part of our plan to provide modern, fit-for-purpose leisure facilities and I'm delighted that it's now reached this landmark stage in the development.
"Once the new leisure centre is complete, it will offer users first class facilities along with some wonderful views over the River Clyde and countryside."
