Resurfacing Work Complete On £80,000 Road Improvement Scheme

Resurfacing work on a £80,000 road improvement scheme on the A816 between Kintraw Farm and Salachery has been completed.

The roads team at Argyll and Bute Council carried out the work which was finished on time and within budget.

Lochgilphead-based Councillor Donnie MacMillan, Vice Chair of the Mid-Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands (MAKI) Area Committee, said: "This is a top-quality piece of work and the new surface is superb.

"The work was carried out at night in order to minimise disruption on a busy main route. The roads team are really flexible with their approach, providing a great service, improving the area's roads while keeping disruption to a minimum."

The work is part of the council's £27million investment in Argyll and Bute’s road network over the past four years.
