Work is underway to deliver bridge breams for the £745 million Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie-Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) project.
The deliveries are taking place today, 11 August, and will resume on Friday, 12 August.
The beams will allow the contractor, Aberdeen Roads Limited, to develop the bridge which will carry the (U19C) Leuchlands to Cranbog to Sheilhill Road, located between Goval and Blackdog, over the new route.
A project spokesperson said: "The contractor has been working closely with Police Scotland and the local authorities to minimise any inconvenience that may be caused due to beam deliveries. The deliveries take place during the day for safety reasons. The trucks only enter the city during off-peak travelling periods when roads are quieter.
"Beam deliveries are integral to the project, which will have 75 principal structures, including two river crossings and one railway bridge, and over 70 culverts, and a significant number of these deliveries are expected over the next year."
The AWPR/B-T scheme is to be completed in the second half of 2017.
