Robertson is continuing work on a £16.6 million redevelopment project in Perth and Kinross.
Pupils from nine primary schools in Perth visited the site at Perth Theatre to "gather an insight" into the building and restoration scheme.
The scheme at the B-listed auditorium is due to be completed in 2017.
Features include creating increased work spaces, building a new 200-seat studio theatre and improving access throughout the building.
Gemma Nicoll, Robertson's Group Community Development Manager, said: "We created the Robertson Reporters initiative to allow pupils to get an inside look at construction projects, and to help boost their communication skills by asking them to report back to their classmates.
"It is a unique opportunity for the pupils, and with six visits planned over the life of the project they will be able to see the scale of work that goes into a successful construction project from start to finish."
Gwilym Gibbons, chief executive of Horsecross Arts, the organisation behind the project, added: "Creative learning is at the heart of what we do at Horsecross Arts, and the newly redeveloped and restored theatre will feature dedicated spaces for our growing numbers of community participants."
