East Dunbartonshire residents are being invited to find out more information about a new purpose-built community and Early Years facility in Auchinairn.

A drop-in session discussing details of the project will be held this week.

Council representatives along with the architect, Glasgow City Football Club, and the local community reference group will attend to showcase the design concept and answer questions.

Council Leader Rhondda Geekie said: "This is another opportunity for residents to find out more about what is planned and provide us with further feedback as we move towards making this new facility – which will benefit the whole community – a reality.

"We have listened to the suggestions and ideas for the new space from the local community and this has played an important part in informing the concept design.

"The drop-in session format means members of the community can spend as long as they wish viewing the design concept and at a time convenient to them.

"I would encourage all those who have an interest in Auchinairn to come along and see how the proposals for what will be a major investment by the Council are progressing."

The event will take place between 4pm and 7pm at Auchinairn Primary on Thursday, 17 March.
