Clark Contracts Secures Contracts Worth Over £20m

Clark Contracts has started 2016 with over £20 million of new construction and refurbishment contracts across Scotland.

The new work includes two contracts, with a combined value of just over £8m, for Renfrewshire Council, to build the new St. Fergus' Primary School in Paisley and to undertake extension and refurbishment work at the shared campus of Mossvale Primary School and St James' Primary School, also in Paisley.

Two new contracts from Inverclyde Council, with a combined value of over £5.8m, involve completing the redevelopment of the Council's Vehicle Maintenance Facility at Pottery Street, Greenock and the refurbishment of the former Police Court Building in Greenock, to create offices for the Council's Property Services Section.

The new business wins also feature three contracts from the University of Edinburgh; the redevelopment of the University's Pleasance complex, refurbishment of laboratory facilities at the Fleeming Jenkins Building and window refurbishment at Warrender Park Crescent.

Clark Contracts is also to complete the conversion of the Nethanvale Building, creating 52 new apartments at the Auchlochan Garden Retirement Village, near Lesmahagow for MHA.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director of Clark Contracts said: "It's always great to hit the ground running at the start of the New Year and we will be working hard to maintain this momentum throughout 2016."
