Partnerships for Renewables (PIR) are drawing up plans to develop a potential wind farm in the Scottish Borders.
A scoping opinion request has been submitted to develop 90 turbines stretching from near the Carter Bar to Newcastleton.
It is understood up to 20 turbines would be built on Newcastleton Forest, up to 50 on Wauchope East and up to 20 on Wauchope West.
Consultations for the over 50MW project will run until February, with exhibitions displaying the proposals to begin this summer.
If approved, it is understood the scheme will be the biggest wind farm ever built in the Scottish Borders.
