The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) has appointed David Hopkins as its new Director.

He will replace Chief Executive David Lennan on 31 December.

Currently, Mr Hopkins is Director at timber industry communications campaign, 'Wood for Good'.

By moving into his new role at TTF, he will take up a position on the Board of Wood for Good.

Keith Fryer, president, TTF, said: "I am delighted that David has accepted the position of Director. It was a tough recruitment battle with a number of top-class candidates.

"We need somebody with the vision, skills and knowledge to take the Federation forward through a period of great change, and David is that man.

"His time at Wood for Good has given him great insight into the challenges and opportunities across the whole supply chain."
