The charity Energy Action Scotland has urged the Scottish Government to do more towards making Scottish homes less expensive to heat.
The call comes after the publication of official statistics revealed there were 22,011 cold related deaths between December 2014 and March 2015.
Norman Kerr, Director of EAS, said it is time to end the blight of "cold, damp homes that people can't afford to heat".
"We urge the Scottish Government to set out now what needs to be done to move forward towards the goal of eradicating cold homes in Scotland," he added.
