Work is on schedule for a £6m housing project, South Ayrshire Council has announced.
The Lochside housing development in Ayr will be completed in phases until the project is finished in May 2016.
A total of 58 houses will be built on the site, each of which will be energy efficient and built on landscaped areas.
In addition, a council apprentice working on the project has been named apprentice of the year by South Lanarkshire College.
Mark McGhee was awarded the accolade for advanced bricklaying.
The project is being undertaken by contractor Cruden.
Councillor Philip Saxton said: "This development is set to make a hugely positive impact on Lochside and the people that live there.
"Having been round the development on several occasions I am really impressed with the work undertaken by Cruden and the apprentices have certainly played their part."
