Kingdom Housing Association has announced it will display plans for a housing development in Fife as part of a consultation exercise with the local community.

Plans involve developing 49 houses at Pitscottie Road in Cupar.

The £6m proposals will provide a mix of single and two-storey housing.

Planning was approved in principle in April after Kingdom secured the support of the Cupar Community Council.

A public drop in event has now been organised to showcase the Associations proposals.

The event will take place on 24 September from 3pm to 7pm at the Cupar Corn Exchange.

Bill Banks, Chief Executive of Kingdom, said: "There is a great need for more affordable housing in Cupar. We believe the opportunity for local people to access modern, high-quality housing will prove very popular.

"If the detailed proposals are subsequently approved by Fife Council, the intention is to begin construction in 2016."
