Transport Scotland is to continue to invest in the M74 carriageway.
The organisation plans to invest £93,000 on the southbound M74 when the stretch between junction 8 Lochead and junction 9 Draffan is repaired.
The works will see Scotland TranServ resurface the route over two nights.
A total closure of the southbound carriageway will begin on 11 September from 8pm to 6am and 12 September from 8pm until 9am.
Gordon Wilson, Contract Director for Scotland TranServ, said: "Across the South West, Scotland TranServ on behalf of Transport Scotland is continuing to improve the trunk roads network. This is one of the most important roads in Scotland, and we hope that following our programme of work, commuters, tourists and freight drivers will value these improvements for many years to come."
