South Ayrshire Council has opened newly refurbished toilets next to Ayr Pavilion.
A total of £482,000 has been invested in redeveloping the facility.
The refurbishment is part of the Council's £1 million wider investment in public toilets.
The comprehensive improvement programme includes redevelopment at Arthur Street, Ayr, Blackburn Drive, Ayr, Dunure and Ballantrae.
New facilities are also being built at Barassie Seafront, Girvan Harbour and Maybole.
Provost Helen Moonie said: "The newly refurbished toilet facilities are a significant improvement on what was here previously and will provide a first class service for local people and visitors. They will make a big difference to anyone spending time around Ayr beach and the Low Green."
Councillor John McDowall said: "Our comprehensive improvement programme in various public toilets across South Ayrshire will ensure that our toilets are modern, fit for purpose and well equipped."
