Approval Granted For Dundee Development

Hillcrest Housing Association has been granted approval to build a social housing development in Dundee.

Plans include the development of 14 two bedroom flats and four one bedroom flats with off street parking for residents.

The proposed site is next to Lochee Health Centre and the site of the former Highgate Shopping Centre, which is now a car park.

David Zwirlein, Director of Development and New Business at Hillcrest, said: "The development is still in its infancy and is subject to the completion of land acquisition from Dundee City Council and Scottish Government grants, however it is anticipated that work will start on the site this summer and we look forward to delivering these one and two-bedroom properties to people and families in need of social housing by late 2016."
