Graham Construction has been appointed by the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) to carry out preparatory works at Kelvinbridge Station.
The initial works will be undertaken at the lower concourse level of the station and will see temporary walls and flooring erected to allow for the removal of tiling, flooring and walls so repairs can begin.
Graham has said these temporary surfaces are likely to remain in place until winter 2015, while a majority of the works will be carried out during Subway operating hours. Disruption for commuters will be kept to a minimum.
Following the preparatory works, SP will continue with a full-scale modernisation of Kelvinbridge Station to transform it into a bright, modern and more accessible facility.
