A draft outline to improve a hairpin bend on the A9 Berriedale Braes are to be unveiled next week, it is understood.
The proposals will be displayed at Berriedale Parish Church, with Transport Scotland running the exhibition. The designs will also be made available online.
This section of the A9 in Caithness drops from 150m (492ft) to 20m (65ft) as it enters a valley at the Berriedale Braes and numerous accidents have occurred at the site. The plans will aim to make the road safer.
Transport Scotland said a solution to the hairpin is continuing.
