Preparation Work For Tay Road Bridge

Work is set to begin to resurface the Tay Road Bridge in Dundee.

On Friday morning (10 October), advanced traffic management work will be carried out before work begins proper on the carriageway on Friday evening.

Between 1am and 6am tomorrow, the local authority has said marker posts will be installed between lanes on the northbound carriageway which will allow a contraflow system to operate during the weekend works.

Following the resurfacing work, the marker posts will start to be removed from 1am on Monday morning (13 October), meaning similar restrictions will be in place for motorists.

Then, from 1am on Friday October 17 marker posts will be installed on the southbound carriageway ahead of the next phase of the programme.

Motorists are advised to stay in lane once they drive onto the bridge during the works, while traffic delays are to be expected. Cyclists are to use the walkway for their own safety.
