A new £26m medical research centre is to open in Dundee.
Known as the Discovery Centre, the facility is located at the University of Dundee.
It will be home to researchers and will create 180 new jobs.
Professor Michael Ferguson, Regius Professor of Life Sciences at Dundee University, said the centre would "significantly boost Scotland's biomedical centre".
He added: "The centre will further develop our already very strong drug discovery programmes in neglected tropical diseases and in other areas of unmet medical need, such as cancer, inflammation and eczema."
According to the BBC, the facility will be opened by Sir Paul Nurse, Nobel Prize winner and president of the Royal Society of London.
