Draft plans for a number of new workshops in the Vale of Leven Industrial Estate are to go on display to the public, it has been announced.
The event will allow the local community to view and comment on the plans before a planning application is submitted.
West Dunbartonshire Council recently secured £900,000 of funding from the Scottish Government's Regeneration Capital Grant Fund which will go towards the construction of new industrial units in the Vale of Leven Industrial Estate. This amount of funding was matched by the Council.
The investment follows a 2012 study which outlined the need for small workshop space within the Dumbarton and the Vale area.
Richard Cairns, Executive Director of Housing Environmental and Economic Development, said: "Through our work with local businesses we identified a need for new premises in the area. These units will be ideal for local business to move to or to expand their current business. I would encourage businesses and residents to come along to the exhibition and see our exciting plans for the new industrial estate units."
The public exhibition will be held at Strathleven House on Wednesday 10 September, from 4pm to 7pm. The plans will also be available to view at Alexandria Library from Thursday 11 September until Friday 19 September 2014.
