Midlothian Council is set to decide the future of Bonnyrigg Leisure Centre.
According to reports, the local authority will choose which community group will take over the former centre.
Bonnyrigg Leisure Centre has not been used since last summer when the new Lasswade Centre, worth £38m, opened in the area. The new facility boasts a library, school and swimming pool.
Following the opening, and subsequent closure of Bonnyrigg, there were calls to demolish the former leisure centre. However, the Council rejected this recommendation in March 2014.
It is understood they will now look at the community bids that have been made for the site.
Owen Thompson, Leader at Midlothian Council, said the council is "supportive of helping community organisations".
The decision on the future of Bonnyrigg Leisure Centre will be decided at a full council meeting.
