Plans to build a new brewery and visitor attraction in Inverness have been put forward for proposal, it has been reported.

According to reports, the project would be constructed on a riverside site in the city, between 8 and 10 Ness Bank. The plans have been submitted by Jon and Victoria Erasmus. The couple have owned the Glen Mhor Hotel and Apartments at Ness Bank since 2006 and are also involved in a number of hotel and leisure businesses throughout Scotland.


It is understood they have been working on plans to develop the gap site since 2012.

In relation to the brewery, the couple said a German brewing plant and Scottish ingredients would be used to produce new Highland beers, while a shop and art gallery would be included in the new visitor attraction.
