The Highland Council has said that a 300m section of the Loch Tarff Road, that originally required closure in order to allow essential works to be carried out, is still under review.
It is understood the local authority is continuing to work on design plans for the stretch of road where significant cutting into the embankment is said to be needed, and as a result, no work will commence on the "critical" section until a public meeting has been held, the Council confirmed in a statement. A date for the public meeting will be announced when the local authority receives proposals that take account of the constructive feedback received for the drop-in and through the Community Liaison Group.
Elsewhere, it added works on the remaining 900m section of road, beside Loch Tarff, have been started by contractors R J McLeod.
