The deadline to apply for Masters Scholarships in energy and environment studies is this Thursday (3 April), ScottishPower has said.
Open to UK students, the scholarships in the related studies are being offered through the ScottishPower Foundation.
The ScottishPower Foundation, in partnership with its Spanish equivalent Fundacion IBERDROLA, is funding 17 post-graduate scholarship grants for the 2014/15 academic year. The scholarships aim to contribute to the education of young professionals with the capabilities required to lead the energy industry into the future.
Scholarships for the 2014/15 academic year are available to those who wish to study towards qualifications in energy and environment related studies such as renewable energies, sustainable energy systems, environment and biodiversity, clean coal technologies, emissions management, energy efficiency, energy storage, electric vehicles and smart grids.
The grants cover full enrolment costs and provide an additional living allowance of £1,200 per month, and the places are available at five of the UK's universities - the University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow, University of Liverpool, University of Strathclyde, and Imperial College London.
Ann Loughrey, Trustee and Executive Officer at the ScottishPower Foundation, said: "The ScottishPower Foundation scholarships are an incredible opportunity for students to further develop their industry expertise and academic credentials. I encourage all those considering an application to do so before the Thursday deadline."
