EnQuest's Aberdeen HQ Plans Approved

Plans to construct a new headquarters in Aberdeen by an oil production company have been approved, according to the BBC.

EnQuest's proposals were approved by Councillors and will see a base established in the former Aberdeen Seafood Park at Palmerston Road.

The eight-storey building would house hundreds of staff and could help kickstart regeneration within the city.

The plans were submitted by developers, Drum Property Group, and Director Graeme Bone is quoted as saying: "EnQuest is a major player in the North Sea and this development will enable the company to bring its current workforce together under one roof and at the same time provides space for expansion."

The development has been given an estimated completion date of late 2014.
