The first section of the restored Beauly to Denny power line is to be switched on, according to the BBC.
It will be switched on, two-and-a-half years after the project was first given the green light.
The first part of the 137-mile circuit runs from Beauly to Fort Augustus. When electrified, the 4000,000 volt line will triple the capacity of the current system.

A total of 600 new towers are being built as part of the project – 200 less than was originally proposed. A number of the towers are said to be taller, however, with some reached 65m.
The project is expected to be completed in 2014 at an estimated cost of £600m.
