Refurbishment work worth £1m is due to be completed at Douglas Terrace walkway.
Almost £500k was dedicated to the project by sustainable transport charity, Sustrans, from the Scottish Government's funding to improve cycling infrastructure.
This amount was matched by Dundee City Council for the much-needed repair work for the project. Speaking about the redevelopment, City Council City Development Convener, Councillor Will Dawson said: "I am sure people will welcome the completion of this major project as the final part of the jigsaw in the overall refurbishment of the Douglas Terrace walkway.
"This is a popular route for cyclists and walkers. I am sure they will understand the necessity for this closure to help get the project completed."
Due to the final works being carried out, the route will be closed on Friday 10 May with work expected to be completed on Saturday morning.
An alternative route over beach Lane Footbridge and along Beach Lane is available.
