A Scottish swimming pool company is celebrating after being honoured at the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association (SPATA) Awards.
Alba/SB Pools, based in Brechin, has won an award for its construction of a new pool at Tattershall Lakes Country Park in Lincolnshire.
The pool is between two lakes used for water sports and was built on challenging ground, which required preparatory stabilisation work.
The Silver award was given to Alba/SB Pools for Commercial Pools category, in recognition of the company’s outstanding design and construction.
Stephen Booth from Alba/SB Pools commented: "We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised at the prestigious SPATA awards. There is huge competition for the categories and as a nationally recognised company I would like to acknowledge the dedication of everyone at Alba / SB Pools."
The awards highlight the achievements of the pool industry by showcasing the best examples of construction, design and innovation.
Chris Hayes, Managing Director of SPATA, said: "This year proved to be incredibly popular, creating tough decisions for the judges with a shortlist of 123 entries across 21 categories. The excellent work displayed by our members, demonstrates the value of choosing a SPATA member to design, build and renovate your pool.
"Once again the SPATA Awards were held alongside the SPATEX Show, which sees companies from across the UK gather to showcase their finest products and services. We have been delighted to welcome so many exhibitors and visitors to Brighton to promote themselves and network with colleagues."
