A new housing development in Moray has been given the go-ahead by the council.
Springfield Properties are to build 380 new homes on the R3 site to the south of Forres.
The development will be known as Ferrylea and will incorporate local shops and a new dental surgery.
Springfield will work on the £15m first phase of the development, which will see 129 new homes built within a landscape framework of woodland to be established over time.
67 affordable and 62 private homes are to be built in the first phase.
The houses will be a mix of two, three and four-bed properties. A number of the homes will be three and four-bed bungalows, while provisions will be made for private market starter homes.
A central open recreational space will be located adjacent to the proposed new neighbourhood shops and dental surgery to provide a focal point for the development.
Works is scheduled for January to allow for the delivery of the Moray Council House Building programme.
