Not enough women work in the Scottish construction sector.
That’s the view of the networking group Association of Women in Property, set up 25 years ago to build female representation in the industry.
Despite the organisation celebrating its silver anniversary last month, its chairman Jane Meneely said the industry needs more female role models.
Just 15% of the workforce in construction is made up of women, she said.
Meneely, who is a senior associate at Hypostyle Architects in Glasgow, said: "Organisations need to look at their workforce and make sure there's a good supply of women on the career path. There's no point in tokenism; it has to be on merit."
