Anyone with ideas for sustainable building or greening businesses could get up 50% of their project paid for, through the European Commission (EC).
The EC has a €34m cash pot to hand out to projects that prevent or reduce environmental impact, especially if they demonstrate potential for replication and European added value.
The deadline to apply for funding through CIP-EIP-ECO-INNOVATION-2012 is 5pm Brussels time, September 6 2012, and applications made thereafter will not be considered.
Priority areas include recycling, sustainable building products and water.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will have priority but all legal persons in Scotland are encouraged to apply.
A project-development workshop for the funding call will be held in Brussels on 28 June.
