Core Completed At Crime Campus

The 54 week £11.5M Phase 2 Shell and Core contract on the Scottish Government's new Scottish Crime Campus was successfully has been handed over.

The Campus is the first of its kind in the UK and will bring together on a single site a number of agencies involved in tackling and preventing serious organised crime in Scotland and beyond. Located at Gartcosh in North Lanarkshire on the outskirts of East Glasgow, the campus, once complete, will provide secure accommodation for over 1,200 police officers and staff from a range of crime-fighting agencies, including the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA), SPSA Forensic Services in Glasgow, the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).


The main building is a four storey four block structure arranged around a central atrium with transepts. Whilst primarily an office development providing a total of 12,600m2 net of high quality office accommodation, the building also provides forensic laboratories and support facilities. The move marks one of the most significant criminal justice developments in a generation and will promote a more collaborative approach among law enforcement agencies and the criminal justice community.
