Contractor Appointed For A96 Inveramsay Bridge Investigations

A contractor has been selected to take forward ground investigation work as part of the Inveramsay Bridge improvement works.

Allied Exploration and Geotechnics Ltd have been selected to carry out the £250,000 ground investigations work at the site. The work is programmed to start in June and is expected to be on site for a period of 6 to 8 weeks.

Once the investigations are complete the design of the preferred route option can be taken forward and finalised. Transport Scotland will then look to publish draft road Orders which will open the formal consultation period.

The scheme construction is on target to be completed this parliamentary term, subject to the satisfactory completion of the statutory process.
