GHA staff raised more than £9,000 to help armed forces charity, Erskine.
Erskine was chosen as GHA staff’s charity of the year for 2011 and a series of fundraising events were held across the organisation, including book sales, raffles, a race night, a fiddle concert and a handbag auction.
Individual staff members also took part in fun runs and marathons and trade unions GMB and Unison made a donation.
The £9,023 raised will go towards the running of the charity’s five residential care homes, including physiotherapy services.
Members of staff from GHA who formerly served in the armed forces visited the charity which cares for ex-servicemen and women to mark the end of the fundraising drive.
Susan Bradley, Community Fundraiser at Erskine, said: "This was a fantastic effort from GHA staff and the money raised will make a big difference to the people who use our services."
GHA Chair Gordon Sloan added: "Erskine is a charity close to my heart and
I’m pleased so much was raised for this very worthwhile cause."
