EEG Secures Sewer Monitoring, Maintenance & Repair Contracts

National drainage specialists Euro Environmental Group (EEG) has succeeded in procuring the Short Term Sewer Flow Monitoring Framework with Severn Trent Water.

This comes on the back of a 5 year deal with Enterprise PLC on the AX5 Waste Water Contract in the west area of Severn Trent Water.

The Group has also been successful in winning a four-year deal with Welsh Water on Private Sewer Operations for the whole of Wales which came into force on the 1st October.

Chief Financial Officer of EEG, John Taylor, said: “We are pleased to maintain our leading position in the market for drain and sewer cleaning, inspection and repair and are very pleased to develop our working relationship with Severn Trent further.”

Founded in 1997, EEG is one of the UK’s largest providers of drain and sewer cleaning, inspection and repair services operating in highly regulated markets from its nine sites across Scotland and England. Group companies include Euro Environmental Contracts (EEC); DCS Utilities; Future Environmental Solutions (FES); and Energy & Utility Management.

In February 2010, Sovereign Capital committed £20m of investment capital to EEG to pursue its growth strategy.

EEG's first acquisition (FES) following Sovereign’s investment was completed less than one week from the initial investment in EEG.

Group revenues have doubled to over £28m through the bolt-on of FES and the securing of new contracts, creating one of the UK’s leading service providers in its market.

Following the Investment by Sovereign, EEG also secured a five-year contract with British Telecom, valued at approximately £3m per year, in April 2011.
