EnerMech Signs Up High Pressure Experts In North Sea Deal

Maintenance and engineering firm EnerMech Ltd has signed a distributorship agreement with Innovative Pressure Technologies (IPT), a US manufacturer of Ultra High pressure tube, valves and fittings.

The dealership covers the oil, gas and energy industries in the UK North Sea and gives EnerMech a competitive advantage in this specialist market place.

These products are used in many areas within the UKCS, including subsea, chemical injection and high pressure water jetting applications and all are certified as compatible with existing manufacturers.

IPT specialise in the design and manufacture of precision high pressure valves fitting and tube which can cater for pressures up to 60,000psi, fittings and other fluid control devices, and related components and accessories.

Based in Erie, Pennsylvania, IPT has over 35 years of manufacturing experience and is recognised as a leading provider in the field of valves, assemblies and individual components.

EnerMech specialises in the supply, maintenance and engineering of cranes, lifting and hydraulic equipment, rental of hand tools and zoned equipment and provision of training and specialist personnel to the energy industry.

Gary McRobb, EnerMech’s business development manager, hydraulics, said: "The North Sea market for Ultra High pressure applications is increasingly rapidly. As a result there has been considerable interest from our clients in IPT’s technology which meets all their specifications but is more cost effective than existing alternatives.

"We'll be making a considerable commitment in terms of stock holding and will compliment this by also providing classroom-based and practical technical training, which can be done at EnerMech's training facilities or at a client’s site.

"This distributorship alliance with IPT follows a number of similar agreements with leading equipment manufacturers and underlines our commitment to providing quality and value for money for our clients in all our service lines."

Jeff Schuman, IPT President, said: "IPT is delighted to have EnerMech as their distributor and looks forward to supporting them in building the business to the benefit of both our companies."
