A day-long series of workshops highlighting electrical and home safety is to be held at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel on 23 February.
The event, aimed at the over-sixties and people with disabilities who are tenants or owner-occupiers in Angus, is designed to cut the number of accidents in the home.
Workshops will provide advice and good practice on home safety, community alarm equipment, fire safety, the Doorstoppers / Safe as Houses scheme and exercise to reduce falls in the home.
The free event is a collaborative venture between Angus Council Social Work and Health, Tayside NHS, Angus Council trading standards, Tayside Fire and Rescue and Angus Care and Repair, and is funded by the Electrical Safety Council.
Depute Provost of Angus, Peter Murphy, will open the event at 10.30 am. Lunch will be provided and the day will finish at 3.30 pm.
Organisers have arranged for buses to collect and return people from Kirriemuir, Forfar, Brechin, Monifieth, Arbroath and Montrose.
