Robertson Construction Group has been named as one of five Principal Supply Chain Partners on the NHS Frameworks Scotland scheme.
The framework is a new strategic and flexible partnering approach to the procurement of publicly funded construction work.
Framework partners will build or refurbish acute care facilities on behalf of health boards throughout Scotland.
It is expected that up to £150m will be spent on improving National Health Service facilities in Scotland annually for the next four years.
Robertson has been selected as part of the RD Health consortium which includes Dawn Construction.
The consortium, through its two principal members, Robertson Construction Group and Dawn Construction Group, has extensive links with the NHS in Scotland and has considerable expertise in the design, construction and maintenance of both acute and primary care NHS developments throughout the Scottish healthcare estate.
The consortium, which will be managed by Robertson Capital Projects, has recently been selected as the principal supply chain partner to develop the new £100m Emergency Care Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Robertson Construction Group has been chosen as the principal supply chain member and will work with the existing design team to develop the full business case for the new emergency unit which will replace the existing A&E department on the hospital's Foresterhill campus.
Bill Robertson, executive chairman, Robertson, said: "We are delighted to be selected alongside our joint-venture partner Dawn Construction within Frameworks Scotland.
"Robertson has extensive experience in delivering healthcare projects throughout the country and the project to develop the acute centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary represents our first major award through the new procurement initiative."
The business recently de-merged its seven regionalised construction companies from its main group to form the Robertson Construction Group.
Now the new group is supported by a board which leads the strategic development of the group and explores opportunities that utilise the combined resources of the construction businesses.
The construction group is expected to generate a turnover in excess of £180m in its first year of trading.
Bill Robertson believes opportunities such as the NHS Frameworks agreement will continue to develop and that a separate construction group will benefit greater from planned procurement routes.
He added: "Each of our regionalised construction businesses continue to expand by following a strategy of carefully selecting workloads and delivering set margins.
"Whilst creating value in their own right, these businesses have created a construction business that covers a wide geographical area and there are clear benefits to be derived form the construction companies working together."
