Aberdeen City Council's Planning Committee has conditionally approved plans for a new office block in the city.
The three-storey building will be constructed on the site of the former Esso filling station on Union Grove, approximately 50 metres from its junction with Union Street.
In her report to the committee, head of planning and infrastructure Dr Margaret Bochel states: "This is very much a city centre site where a range of commercial uses is expected and indeed should be encouraged.
"Given the location of the site close to the eastern extremity of Union Grove, an office development will not significantly affect or undermine the overall character and amenity of the street as a residential area."
A car park with spaces for motorbikes and 16 cars will be created at the rear of the building, along with storage facilities for six bicycles.
The building will measure 26.3m across the frontage, be 20m deep and approximately 12metres high with a flat roof.
The front of the building will be finished in granite, timber linings and a large glazed screen. There will be a landscaped area at the front of the building, and around the car park.
