The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) has named SELECT as its inaugural Network Partner, launching a new collaboration model built on shared expertise, coordinated communications and mutual support.
The initiative recognises the pivotal role that membership organisations play in Scotland's business community and brings together trade associations and business support bodies to pursue shared objectives. Through joint communications and knowledge-sharing, partners aim to raise awareness of opportunities and promote activities that benefit businesses across Scotland.
Rather than a commercial arrangement, the Network Partner model is founded on reciprocal exchange of insight and resources. It is intended to amplify each organisation's messages and work collectively to broaden access to business support and public sector contract opportunities nationwide.
As the first Network Partner, SELECT will work with SDP to highlight industry news, promote relevant events and contract opportunities, showcase best practice and deepen engagement with businesses across the sector.
Gillian Cameron, SDP Programme Manager, said: "We're proud to welcome SELECT as our first Network Partner. This partnership represents the type of relationship we want to build, based on collaboration and a shared ambition to deliver greater value for our respective communities. Together, we can extend our reach and ensure important industry conversations and contract opportunities have a wider platform."
Iain Mason, Director of Membership, Events & Communications at SELECT, said: "As Scotland's largest construction trade association, we are pleased to join forces with the Supplier Development Programme as its first Network Partner. By aligning our communications and working collaboratively, we can better support our members, connect them with relevant opportunities and help create stronger connections throughout the industry."
SELECT's appointment is the first step in SDP's wider Network Partner programme, with additional strategic partnerships planned to extend the reach of procurement support, strengthen supplier engagement and encourage greater collaboration across Scotland.
